Learning Objective

Child places a sticker on the named body part on a body outline drawing

Materials Required

  • Large body outline printed on A3 paper (one per child)
  • Large dot stickers 25mm in mixed colours
  • Body Part Flashcards Flashcard

Teaching Steps

Can you put a sticker on the nose? Where is the nose on this picture?

  2. 2

  3. 3

Where are the feet? Put a sticker right there.

  4. 4

Which body part shall we do next?

Questions to Ask

  • Can you put a sticker on the nose? Where is the nose on this picture?
  • Find the hands — put a sticker on each hand!
  • Where are the feet? Put a sticker right there.
  • Which body part shall we do next?

Teacher Notes

Observe whether child places the sticker on the correct body part. Note which parts are secure and which are not yet known.

Extension / Enrichment

Support: Use a photograph of the child's own face instead of a generic outline for stronger personal connection. Extend: Child names the body part before placing the sticker. Child gives instructions to the teacher instead.

Assessment

Observe whether child places the sticker on the correct body part. Note which parts are secure and which are not yet known.

Home Connection

Draw a simple stick figure on paper. Give your child stickers and ask them to put one on the head, one on the tummy, one on each foot.
